Meet Gloria
Gloria Gonzales-Dholakia, Ph.D., knows firsthand the power of education to change not only one life, but an entire family. A first-generation college graduate, Gloria credits teachers and educational opportunities with shaping her path — and she’s committed much of her career and life to making those same opportunities accessible to others.
Gloria’s eight years as a public school trustee, experience as a college professor, and advocating for first-generation students, student-parents, and families navigating barriers to higher education give her a unique and personal insight into effective representation and governance.
Now, Gloria is running for ACC Trustee to bring her professional expertise, personal experience, and community relationships to build stronger connections between the college and the communities it serves. She will help deepen partnerships across Central Texas, ensure ACC is responsive to students, families, employers, and community needs, and help students move from where they are, to where they dream of going.
